Situated at an elevation of 2730 m Gulmarg is one of the best ski slopes in the world and has highest golf course with 18 holes. Enjoy a Gondola ride to Kangpori, and enjoy the view of Nanga Parbat. Today after an early breakfast a beautiful drive through saffron fields in the hills will take you to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). Visit Awantipura ruins of 1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu. The day is at leisure to explore the region on your own. Today drive to Srinagar. En route, make a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Arrive ino Srinagar and check into your hotel / houseboat. In the afternoon visit the Shankaracharya Temple situated atop a hill, enjoy a city tour of Srinagar visiting the famous Mughal Gardens on the banks of Dal Lake. Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure), built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) built by Jehangir for his wife empress Noor Jehan. followed by mighty chinar trees, overlooking the scintillating waters of Dal Lake and marked by ornamental fountains, Other beauteous Mughal Gardens to be visited in the region are Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi.
